Voting is Now Open for the Proposed Changes to Our Governing Documents

Owners,

At the meeting yesterday evening, the Board reviewed and incorporated the feedback and suggestions made by a number of our Owners into the proposed changes to our governing documents. These changes were all minor, either clarifying a specific rule, or correcting a few errant spellings that had been missed.

Voting is now open to approve these proposed changes. You may vote electronically at the link:

As these are amendments to our Deed Restrictions, approval requires two-thirds of our Owners to agree. The Board requests your consideration in this effort.

A tremendous amount of time and effort has been spent over the past few years by multiple “Boards” to update these documents per changes to TX law by the state legislature. Extra work was also performed to clarify and simplify the documents, by splitting the Architectural Standards into a separate document. Additionally, we have paid our attorneys, Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey to review and approve these changes, per the request of our Owners.

The Board thanks Bill Papp, Bob McAdams and Charles Hamilton for their diligence and input to improve these proposals. We also thank all of the past Board members including Gloria Guerra, Joe Hadwin, Billy Harris and Bill Papp for their efforts to complete these proposals, too. It has truly been the hard work by these individuals and the current Board that has made the culmination of these efforts possible.

The final documents are available for your review at:

Again, thank you for your consideration. Please address any additional questions or concerns to theboard@cypresswoodplace.com.
