In this unprecedented health crisis we currently find ourselves, the Board wanted to try and provide some information you may find useful.
H-E-B has teamed with Favor (a delivery service) to offer free grocery delivery (limited to 25 items) to seniors. They will however include a $10 tip and your order will be left at your front door. You can use the H-E-B app on your phone or call 1-833-397-0080. Their store hours are 8am to 8pm.
Walmart will offer a senior shopping day every Tuesday beginning March 24. Hours have not yet been announced.
Target will dedicate the first hour each store is open on Wednesday mornings to senior shopping.
Until further notice, Kroger will be open from 7am to 10pm.
In addition, many local restaurants are offering takeout and some have free delivery within a certain radius. The following are a few on Kuykendahl we know are open for business:
Eva’s Mexican Restaurant (281-444-5003) offers take out and will deliver within a 3 mile radius.
The Breakfast Place (281-251-6464) opens at 6am for take out.
Sugarfoot’s Cupcakes (832-856-2253) is open Tuesday thru Saturday with take out and delivery options.
Euro Bakery and Cafe (281-257-3023) @ 5010 Louetta has pickup and delivery options available.
There are other places in our area open as well so we suggest you call your favorite restaurant to inquire about their hours of service and delivery options.
In closing, these are trying and anxious times for all of us. If you can, please check on your neighbor and reach out a helping hand.
