Earlier this week late at night 4 or 5 young men were seen at the end of Shady Pine Dr. near Kuykendahl. They attempted to burglarize 3 trucks parked in resident’s driveways as well as looking for valuables in the back of the trucks and possibly attempting to steal the tires. There were 2 lookouts and the others were attempting the burglaries. A resident saw them, went outside and scared them off. The police were called, but they had left before the police arrived.

Park your cars, trucks and vans in your garage if possible. Remember to always lock your vehicle, and don’t ever leave anything of value in your vehicle.

The cheapest deterrent to residential crime is outdoor lighting. Turn your lights on overnight for awhile to discourage unwanted visitors.

Night owls, periodically look out your windows to check for anything suspicious. As the saying goes, “If you see something, say something.” The police are a phone call away.
