At our annual HOA meeting in May, we discussed adding landscaping lights to the entry monuments on Piney Hill Drive. The addition of these lights is long overdue and will not only improve security but enhance the appearance of the entrance into our neighborhood.
Due to the positive feedback we received, we wanted to let you know that on Tuesday, October 17th, we are having lights installed at both monuments. (Gary Brown, a licensed Master Electrician, will be doing the work.)
These lights will need to be connected to the closest street light pole in proximity to the monument as that is the only source of power in the area. (These are street lights the HOA pays for.) Small trenches will be dug from the pole to the monument to make the connection and hide the wires. The majority of digging will occur within the street easement and designated “common areas”, and any work required outside those areas will be kept to a minimum. For safety reasons and In preparation for the installation, utility lines will be marked prior to the work beginning.
Just a FYI – Once construction on the gas station is completed, (which should be within the next 3-4 weeks), Hahn’s will begin a beautification project on the south side of Cypress Hill Drive designed to fill in bare areas and camouflage as much as possible. We know that is welcomed news to all residents, especially those of you backing up to that area.
