Two cars on Ficus Ct. were burglarized Sunday 11/27 between the hours of 9:15 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. The only description we have is: someone tall and blond, but unidentifiable as male or female – possible wig, waist length coat. He/she searched the glove compartments and consoles of each car dumping everything out into the front seat or onto the driveway. Playing junior detective it seems as if he/she was looking for non-traceable items such as money, cigarettes etc. but you never know.
The Sheriff’s Department was called and the resident was informed they would try to patrol our subdivision more frequently. We need to be on alert for ourselves and our neighbors. We must be each other’s eyes and ears. Be ever vigilant!
Don’t leave valuables in your car including purses and always lock your car when left in the driveway. Also keep your garage doors closed. That is an open invitation. Obviously, it only takes a few minutes for things to change drastically.
Also be very careful of packages being delivered during this holiday season. If you will not be home when a package is delivered, ask a neighbor to pick it up and hold it for you. This type of theft is shown on the news all of the time. Let’s be the exception and not one of the negative statistics.
