This is an update to the eBlast you received yesterday pertaining to the new business (gas station and convenience store) being built on the south side corner of Kuykendahl Rd. and Cypress Hill Dr. Harris County regulations require their exit driveway on Cypress Hill Dr. to be 35 feet wide and traffic must be able to turn left or right. Due to the median in the road, it must now be moved further down Cypress Hill. As a result, it will be closer to the fire hydrant than originally planned. This driveway will be smaller than the 2 entrances on Kuykendahl which will be 45 feet wide. The underbrush behind the monument and around the exit driveway will be cleared for safety reasons. The good news is, however, the monument and landscaping will remain as well as the trees behind the monument. In addition, as many tall trees as possible on the property will be preserved. We were also informed the underbrush, bushes and trees located from the fire hydrant down Cypress Hill past the entrance to Cypresswood Place would remain. The distance to be preserved is still 18 feet from the curb on Cypress Hill. We will keep you informed of any further information we become privy to.
